Network & System Administrator

Dreambig Semiconductor is looking for a Network & System Administrator to join its dynamic IT department. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to manage and optimize an enterprise-level network and server infrastructure across multiple locations in Islamabad. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day IT support, maintaining Linux-based systems, and ensuring the performance, availability, and security of the organization’s networks and servers.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Support:

• Provide responsive technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control systems

• Maintain IT asset inventory with proper documentation

• Deploy, configure, and manage IT hardware and software

• Enforce IT policies and conduct user training as needed

Linux Support:

• Administer Linux servers ensuring stability, performance, and security

• Apply system updates, patches, and upgrades regularly

• Monitor system logs and address performance issues

• Optimize Linux environments for running critical applications

• Automate routine administrative tasks using shell scripting and related tools

Network Support:

• Maintain and troubleshoot networking equipment including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs

• Resolve connectivity issues and enforce network security standards

• Perform regular maintenance and infrastructure upgrades

• Collaborate with team members on scaling and improving network performance

• Implement and manage secure network protocols and topologies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

• Hands-on experience in system and network administration

• Proficiency in Linux operating systems and standard networking protocols

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills

• Relevant certifications such as Network+, RHCE, or CCNP will be considered an advantage

• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team-based environment

• English proficiency: Intermediate to Advanced
