Description:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network and IT Systems Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure, managing IT systems, and providing technical support to our employees. This role involves the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software, as well as troubleshooting network and computer issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network management, technical support, and IT systems administration.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Management:

Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, firewalls, and switches.

Design and implement network infrastructure to meet organizational needs.

Set up and maintain Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).

Monitor and manage network performance, ensuring optimal operation and availability.

Test network for vulnerabilities and weaknesses, implementing appropriate security measures.

 

Technical Support:

Resolve network connectivity issues for employees promptly.

Address and troubleshoot computer malfunctioning issues for staff.

Provide technical support and guidance to team members and end-users.

 

System Maintenance:

Maintain and troubleshoot storage networks.

Manage network resources, including documentation and vendor relationships.

Ensure that all telephones and extensions are functioning properly.

Operate and manage CCTV cameras.

 

Administrative Duties:

Purchase computer hardware and other IT equipment as needed.

Maintain responsibility for all hardware items within the firm.

Handle photocopying and scanning tasks as required.

 

Training and Development:

Provide training and guidance to team members on network and IT systems.

Stay up to date with new technologies, best practices, and industry trends.

 

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Network Administrator, IT Systems Administrator, or similar role.

Strong knowledge of network hardware and software, including routers, firewalls, switches, and VPNs.

Familiarity with network design, implementation, and management.

Experience with troubleshooting network and computer issues.

Proficiency in network monitoring and security practices.

Ability to provide technical support and training to end-users.

Experience with CCTV camera systems and telephone management.

Strong organizational skills.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
