Mid-level Revit Instructor

 

Description:

The Mid-Level Revit Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to students, professionals, and organizations on the use of Autodesk Revit software. The instructor will focus on architectural design, building information modeling (BIM), and advanced Revit functions. This role requires expertise in Revit, a passion for teaching, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

· Deliver Engaging Revit Training: Conduct interactive and hands-on training sessions for individuals and groups, focusing on intermediate and advanced Revit tools, BIM methodologies, and best practices in architectural design.

· Develop Customized Lesson Plans: Create detailed lesson plans and learning materials that align with industry standards, addressing the specific needs of students, including professionals, students, and corporate clients.

· Practical Application of Revit Skills: Guide students in the application of Revit in real-world architectural and construction scenarios, ensuring they can effectively use the software for project design, documentation, and management.

· Facilitate Hands-on Learning: Provide individualized and group support during practical lab sessions, enabling students to apply Revit features such as work-sharing, parametric families, rendering, and collaboration tools.

· Evaluate Student Progress: Regularly assess students’ skills and knowledge through quizzes, projects, and real-time feedback, adjusting instructional strategies to maximize learning outcomes.

· Enhance Curriculum: Collaborate with instructional designers to continuously improve the course curriculum by incorporating the latest Revit updates, industry trends, and student feedback, ensuring the program remains current and relevant.

· Promote BIM Best Practices: Teach students how to integrate Building Information Modeling (BIM) into the entire project lifecycle, from initial design and visualization to construction documentation and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

· Prepare Students for Certification: Provide guidance and resources to help students prepare for Autodesk Revit certification exams, ensuring they are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to pass.

· Stay Current with Industry Trends: Stay informed about advancements in Revit software, architectural design technology, and BIM standards to continually offer the most relevant and up-to-date training.

· Provide Post-Training Support: Offer follow-up assistance and mentoring to students to reinforce their skills and provide additional support as they transition to applying Revit in professional projects.

  • Support students in preparing for Autodesk certification exams, if applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience using Autodesk Revit in an architectural, engineering, or construction environment.
  • Prior experience in teaching or conducting Revit training (preferable).
  • Strong knowledge of Revit software, including advanced features like parametric families, work-sharing, and BIM coordination.
  • Familiarity with building codes, industry standards, and sustainable design practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible and engaging way.
  • Autodesk Certified Instructor (ACI) or Revit certification is a plus.
