The Azure Cloud Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions that leverage Azure's services and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design: Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand requirements and design scalable, high-performance solutions on Microsoft Azure.

Architecture Planning: Develop cloud architecture strategies, including hybrid cloud, identity and access management, networking, and data management.

Azure Service Selection: Identify and recommend Azure services and tools that align with project requirements, cost considerations, and best practices.

Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and compliance of Azure solutions by implementing security measures, policies, and access controls.

Scalability and Performance: Design for scalability, availability, and optimal performance by using Azure best practices and resources.

Automation and DevOps: Implement automation and DevOps practices to streamline deployment, scaling, and maintenance of Azure resources.

Migration and Integration: Plan and execute migrations of on-premises systems to Azure, as well as integrate with other cloud and on-premises systems.

Cost Management: Monitor and manage Azure costs, making recommendations to optimize resource utilization and minimize expenses.

Documentation: Maintain detailed architecture documentation and diagrams.

Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize Azure resources to maintain optimal performance and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology.

Microsoft Azure certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, are typically required.

3-5 years of relevant Experience.

Extensive knowledge in designing and implementing solutions on Microsoft Azure.

Strong knowledge of Azure services, Azure Resource Manager, and Azure DevOps.

Familiarity with cloud security and compliance best practices.

Experience with scripting and automation using tools like PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM templates.

Understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and integration with on-premises systems.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GoogleCloud) is a plus.
