Description:
It includes but noy limited to:
· Conducting microbiological analysis of food samples to detect and identify microorganisms.
· Evaluating the quality and shelf-life of food products by studying microbial spoilage to avoid food borne illness.
· Recommending storage conditions, packaging materials, and preservatives to extend shelf-life and maintain product quality.
· Developing and implementing food safety protocols and microbiological standards to comply with regulatory requirements.
· Keeping abreast of food safety regulations and guidelines issued by regulatory authorities.
· Ensuring food products meet regulatory microbiological standards and specifications.
· Training food production staff on proper hygiene practices, sanitation procedures, and microbiological principles.
· Developing novel techniques for microbial detection, control, and preservation in food products.
· Work closely with cross-functional teams including food production personnel, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs to address microbiological challenges and implement effective solutions.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
