Medical Biller

Description:

As a DME Biller, you will manage the entire Durable Medical Equipment (DME) billing cycle, from claim creation to final payment. Your focus will be to ensure compliance with payer requirements and optimize reimbursement rates for our clients.

Employee Responsibilities:

• Verify patient eligibility and benefits for DME services.
• Submit prior authorizations and obtain necessary documentation.
• Accurately code and submit DME claims with the correct modifiers.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and effectively manage denials.
• Post payments, handle patient statements, and oversee collections.
• Prepare and generate regular billing and collection reports to monitor performance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in DME billing.
• Deep understanding of DME billing guidelines and coding requirements.
• Proficiency in billing software and EHR/EMR systems.
• Strong knowledge of denial management and appeals processes.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Technical Requirements:

• Stable internet connection (minimum 15 Mbps).
• Laptop.
• Additional HD camera (1080p).
• Noise-cancellation headphones.
• Ring light for video clarity.
• UPS system for power backup.
