We're seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Karāchi. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive technological advancements in the food processing industry, focusing on sweeteners and proteins production.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Machine Design and Optimization:

- Design and implement advanced food processing machinery

- Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for 3D modeling and technical drawings

- Enhance existing equipment efficiency

 

2. Project Management:

- Lead cross-functional engineering teams

- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources

- Collaborate with stakeholders to align projects with company goals

 

3. Research and Development (R&D):

- Spearhead R&D initiatives for innovative processing techniques

- Conduct feasibility studies for new product lines

- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies

 

4. Quality Assurance and Compliance:

- Ensure designs meet international food safety standards

- Develop quality control procedures for manufacturing processes

- Collaborate with QA teams to maintain product excellence

 

5. Continuous Improvement:

- Identify process improvement and cost reduction opportunities

- Implement lean manufacturing principles

- Mentor junior engineers

 

Qualifications:

- BSc in Mechanical Engineering; MSc preferred

- 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, food industry experience a plus

- Expertise in machine design and CAD software

- Strong background in project management and R&D

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Outstanding communication and leadership abilities

- Fluency in English; Urdu proficiency beneficial
