Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Associate to join our corporate law team. In addition to general legal responsibilities, the successful candidate will take on the specific task of maintaining and managing a data room for corporate documents. This is a unique opportunity for a legal professional looking to build expertise in both corporate law and document management for high-level transactions.
This role requires on-site availability at our DHA, Phase 6 office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Corporate Documentation Management:
- Maintain and manage a virtual data room for corporate documents, ensuring all files are organised, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
- Regularly audit the data room to ensure compliance with firm protocols and legal standards.
- Coordinate with clients and third parties to ensure proper document submission, labelling, and storage.
- Prepare, review, and manage corporate records, including board resolutions, meeting minutes, share certificates, and contracts.
- General Legal Duties:
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other corporate legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on corporate law matters.
- Support senior attorneys in mergers and acquisitions, financings, and other corporate transactions.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations and advise clients and internal teams on compliance.
- Assist in preparing due diligence materials for corporate transactions.
- Client Interaction:
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and documentation.
- Provide general support to clients on corporate governance and compliance matters.
Qualifications:
- LLB from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law.
- Familiarity with laws of UK, US and the GCC regions.
- 1-3 years of experience in corporate law, M&A, or a related field (experience with data room management is a plus).
- Strong organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite (experience with document management systems is preferred).
