Description:
The Prestigious Sheikh Saleem Group of Companies is seeking suitable candidates for the position of “Lead Internal Auditor“ The Lead Internal Auditor will lead the internal audit function, providing independent and objective assessments of the company’s financial and operational processes. The role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, identifying and mitigating risks, and enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls within the retail setup.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:
· Develop and implement the internal audit strategy and annual audit plan.
· Lead, mentor, and manage the internal audit team.
· Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Audit Planning and Execution:
· Plan and conduct risk-based audits of financial and operational processes.
· Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
· Ensure audits are completed on time and in accordance with professional standards.
· Identify key risks facing the organization and develop strategies to mitigate them.
· Work closely with the Risk Management team to integrate audit activities with risk management processes.
· Provide insights on emerging risks and their potential impact on the company.
Reporting and Communication:
· Prepare and present audit reports to the Audit Committee, senior management, and other stakeholders.
· Communicate audit findings and recommendations effectively to various levels of management.
· Ensure follow-up on audit recommendations to ensure they are implemented.
Compliance and Governance:
· Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
· Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and update audit practices accordingly.
· Assist in the development and maintenance of corporate governance frameworks.
Continuous Improvement:
· Promote and implement best practices in internal auditing.
· Stay current with industry trends, audit standards, and regulatory changes.
· Drive the use of technology and data analytics in the audit process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is required. An advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, or equivalent are an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Internal Auditing, with at least 6 years in a leadership role within a Retail and well Reputed Fine Dine Restaurant Environment.
Experience with firms such as KPMG, Ferguson & Co, Deloitte, BDO Ebrahim & Co, EY Ford Rhodes, and Grant Thornton Anjum Rahman is preferred.
Candidates must have experience in Retail & Fine Dine Restaurant
Strong knowledge of retail industry operations, risks, and controls.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in audit software and data analytics tools.
Hands on Experience in ERP Software
