4+ years experience in data science, machine learning, and data analysis
Deep understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms
Deep understanding of concepts related to Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and Big Data
Expertise in data-oriented programming (e.g. SQL) and statistical programming (e.g., Python, R).
Experience with cloud and micro services application development
Solid coding skills with the ability to drive teams through massive refactoring exercise and improve coding standards across large codebases
Experience with leading engineering teams for technical execution
Passion for driving continual improvement initiatives on engineering practices around coding, testing and monitoring.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write detailed technical documents
Passionate about helping teams grow by inspiring and mentoring engineers
Exposure to complete product development cycles from inception to production to scaling up through staged releases, supporting new requirements and re-architectures
Responsibilities:
Lead engineering teams to build, improve, and maintain machine learning models
Apply theoretical knowledge and experience of Machine Learning to technically breakdown projects and ensure their implementation
Lead the effort for collection of new data and refinement of existing data sources
Identify and help implement tools to analyze data effectively
Produce and be the gatekeeper of high quality code that is robust, efficient and maintainable
Take the lead in setting the engineering vision and objectives of the team
Mentor the engineering teams
Work closely with product managers, engineering team and operations teams to challenge what exists and explore what should be changed or built to best meet our business needs
Manage up and down - keep a steady pulse on the team and work to prevent organizational blockers before they happen
