Description:
Synergy-IT is looking for a motivated and skilled Junior Network & Systems Support Engineer to join its IT team. This role involves providing first-level technical support, troubleshooting network and system issues, and ensuring smooth IT operations. The selected candidate will work with hardware, software, and networking components to support the organization's IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level support for network and system-related issues by responding to help desk tickets and requests.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, hardware, software, and network devices.
- Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity issues.
- Monitor system performance and network availability, escalating issues when necessary.
- Set up new user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Perform basic cybersecurity tasks, including updating antivirus software and applying security patches.
- Assist in tracking and maintaining IT equipment inventory.
- Support backup and disaster recovery processes.
- Document troubleshooting steps, system configurations, and IT policies.
- Work closely with senior IT staff on projects and system upgrades.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience with operating systems such as MS-Windows and Windows Server.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, edge devices, and hardware/software firewalls.
- MCSE/CCNA training or certification is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
