Description:
As an IT Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing technical assistance and support to our organization's computer systems, software, and hardware infrastructure. You will be responsible for resolving technical issues, maintaining the IT environment, and ensuring efficient operation of all systems. Your expertise will help us maximize productivity and minimize downtime by promptly addressing any IT related problems.
Responsibilities:
1. Proven hands on experience of Network engineering which includes installing, configuring and supporting firewalls to ensure network security
2. Accountable for administering Microsoft Azure Infrastructure, Windows Domain Servers, Active Directory, Exchange Servers, Application servers which are operational on 24 X 7 basis.
3. Install, configure & administer macOS & Windows operating systems and components.
4. Clear knowledge of MDM, Includes Apple Business Manager and Microsoft Intune admin Centre
5. Monitors and tests system/server performance and provides performance statistics and reports.
6. Provide technical support: Respond to user inquiries and issues via phone, email, or in person, and provide timely and accurate solutions. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems, and guide users on proper usage and best practices.
7. Install and configure systems: Set up and deploy computer systems, including operating systems, software applications, and peripheral devices. Ensure compatibility, security, and optimal performance of hardware and software components.
8. Maintain network infrastructure: Monitor and maintain network connectivity, firewalls, switches, routers, and VPN connections. Troubleshoot network issues and collaborate with network administrators to optimize performance and security.
9. Perform system upgrades and backups: Assist in planning and executing system upgrades, software patches, and firmware updates. Conduct regular backups of critical data and ensure data integrity and availability.
10. Conduct hardware and software maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning equipment, updating antivirus software, and optimizing system performance. Coordinate with vendors for equipment repairs and warranty claims.
11. User training and documentation: Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to enhance user knowledge and proficiency with IT systems. Create and update technical documentation, including user guides and standard operating procedures.
12. Inventory management: Maintain an inventory of hardware, software licenses, and other IT assets. Coordinate procurement and replacement of equipment, ensuring proper asset tracking and compliance with organizational policies.
