Description:
We are seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team and provide essential technical assistance to our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, a customer-centric approach, and a solid understanding of IT systems and applications. As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and providing excellent support to end-users.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line support to end-users, assisting with hardware, software, network, and other technical issues via phone, email, or in person.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems promptly, ensuring minimal downtime and disruptions.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications for employees.
- Set up user accounts and access rights across various endpoint systems, platforms and applications & support where required.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and assist in resolving network-related problems.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and implement improvements in IT infrastructure and processes.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of IT equipment, including computers, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
- Conduct system upgrades and software installations while ensuring data security and integrity.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, data security and protection regulations while handling sensitive information on end-user systems.
- Provide technical training to end-users to enhance their understanding and efficient use of IT resources.
- Document all support activities, resolutions, and procedures for reference and knowledge-sharing purposes.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest IT trends, developments, and best practices to enhance IT support services.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with network protocols, troubleshooting techniques, and basic network administration.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users effectively.
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, and cloud-based services.
- Experience with hardware components and peripherals (e.g., desktops, laptops, printers).
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications will be an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
