It Linux Engineer

Description:

1. Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT support role with Linux/MAC OS

2. BS or MS in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

Requirements

1. Deep understanding of Linux/MAC OS (administration, servers, back-up, etc.)

2. Office 365 administration (recovery, migration and backups)

3. PDK and Std cell lib, IP download and installation.

4. 3rd party IP licenses, download and installation.

5. GitHub administrator experience is required.

6. Strong problem-solving skills: able to troubleshoot 7.system/OS/hardware/network problems.

8. Knowledge of cybersecurity, data privacy, security monitoring, security frameworks.

9. Available outside of normal US business hours for high priority events and collaboration with global team as needed.

10. Familiarity with SLURM and IPA or how to troubleshoot HPC cluster issue.

11. Good communications & interpersonal skills.

12. Knowledge of Windows OS and features of all Microsoft applications

13. Basic scripting knowledge required.

Responsibilities

1. Provide Linux/MAC OS System administration support.

2. Troubleshoot system, server and network problems, technical issues

3. regarding Linux/MAC OS related issues.

4. Understand, prioritize, & resolve technical hardware and software issues effectively

Work with IP vendors and Fab and perform upgrade, download/installation and deployment.

Regular updates and maintain security, backup and redundancy strategies.

System administrator for GitHub, pull/push request, branching strategy and code review process.

Quick turn-around and response time to internal/external customers.

Compare, evaluate, and implement new technologies, and integrate them into the computing environment

Administer workflows and issue schemes in Jira ITSM.
