International Relations Specialist

 

Description:

Grow ICCD’s recognition and relationships with the International Organizations and Development Funds globally that are working in OIC territories for the development of the private sector or with Muslim Businesses around the world.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Identify and introduce ICCD to organizations that are important for ICCD’s work.

2. Propose engagement proposals based in identified areas of collaborations.

3. Advise and introduce internal ICCD teams with identified stakeholders (governmental bodies, think tanks, universities, NGO / foundations, and donor agencies) in the priority sectors of ICCD to deliver our projects and activities successfully.

4. Develop industry specific databases that are required within the on-going projects of IRD department.

5. Prepare business visit planning to include high-quality briefings, meetings scheduling and organizing any promotional materials that may be required.

6. Lead assigned projects through the entire project lifecycle from conceptualization to delivery and reporting against deliverables and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.

7. Work closely with colleagues across the Chamber’s regional offices to support regional projects.

8. Prepare reports and draft resolutions for participation at the intergovernmental meetings attended by ICCD.

9. Prepare speeches to be delivered at external events.

10. Research and deliver the annual publications of the International Relations department.

11. Custodian of IRD Database.

12. Ensure implementation of ISO guidelines in all work processes and documentation.

13. Managing IRD internship program in Pakistan.

14. Anything else that maybe delegated by the IRD Director.

 

Education & Training:

  • An Undergraduate or higher university degree in international relations, economics, public policy, or a related field.
  • Minimum three years’ experience managing projects relevant to international development / stakeholder management, preferably acquired in an international organization.
  • Experience in preparing concise and well researched reports, concept notes, and other working documents.
  • Strong networking skills and a proven ability to coordinate inputs from different teams and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
