Interior Designer

Description:

In this role, you will transform indoor spaces into functional, aesthetically pleasing, and safe environments. You will collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs and translate their vision into reality, all while adhering to budget constraints and building codes.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct initial consultations with clients to understand their design goals, preferences, and budget.

* Measure and assess existing spaces to determine space allocation and functionality.

* Develop and present creative design concepts to clients through sketches, mood boards, and 2D/3D software renderings.

* Source furniture, fixtures, materials, and finishes, ensuring quality and staying within budget.

* Create detailed construction documents and collaborate with contractors and architects to ensure project execution aligns with the design plan.

* Manage project timelines and budgets, keeping clients informed throughout the design process.

* Conduct site visits to inspect the progress of construction and ensure adherence to design specifications and building codes.

* Provide final design presentations and oversee the installation of furniture and decorative elements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in interior design.

Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of interior design projects.

Proficiency in design software programs.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Creative vision with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of colour, texture, and scale.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Knowledge of building codes and construction practices is a plus.
