Description:
We are looking for technically skilled candidates with excellent interpersonal skills for the technical support position. Technical support officers troubleshoot technical issues, provide timely customer feedback, and support the roll-out of new applications, among other duties.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the organisation's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and servers.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular maintenance to prevent downtime and ensure reliability.
- Implement and maintain cyber-security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and data encryption protocols.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, addressing IT-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Evaluate and recommend upgrades or enhancements to IT systems and infrastructure to improve efficiency and meet business needs.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to implement IT projects and initiatives.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) are advantageous.
- Proven experience of 1-2 years as IT Executive, or similar role.
