Description:
The Head of Product Design will be responsible for delivering compelling creative experiences that balance consumer goals with business needs. The role requires leading a high-performing design team, aligning product design with the product roadmap, and ensuring seamless execution across multiple features and projects. You will advocate for the user throughout the design and development process and ensure the integration of user feedback into design solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Design Ownership: Lead end-to-end design across multiple features and projects (interaction, visual, etc.).
- Team Leadership: Manage and grow a high-performing design team, tackling cross-product challenges.
- Collaboration: Partner with Product and Engineering leads to improve processes and align on strategies.
- Enhancing Design Practices: Foster a culture of excellence through design critiques, sprints, and best practices.
- User Research: Conduct and analyze research studies such as usability studies, surveys, and field studies.
- Data-Driven Design: Utilize user feedback and analytics to validate designs and inform decisions.
- Advocacy for Users: Champion user needs throughout the product design and development process.
- Project Management: Scope design initiatives, prioritize work, and allocate resources across various domains.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 7+ years of product design experience, including both individual contributor (IC) and leadership roles.
- Enterprise Applications: Preference for experience designing enterprise applications at scale.
- Design Expertise: Mastery of tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, and proficiency in creating interactive prototypes.
- UX/UI Knowledge: Strong understanding of interaction design, visual design, UX principles, and usability testing.
- Research Skills: Proven experience in conducting user research, A/B testing, and implementing usability improvements.
- Communication Skills: Excellent ability to present and justify design decisions clearly.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work in a diverse team setting and translate abstract ideas into actionable design implications.
