Description:
We are seeking a motivated Mixed Method Research fellow to join our research team at the IMPACT Research Office at the Institute of Psychiatry, Rawalpindi. The Research Fellow will join the Global Health Research Team on Mental and Physical Comorbidity working on multiple projects in collaboration with the University of York, UK.
Job Responsibilities:
The job responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
· Contributing to preparing research proposals, research tools and other relevant applications to external bodies (e.g. ethics review boards, drug regulatory authorities, etc.)
· Working closely with the research staff to conduct a comprehensive mixed methods research including collection of qualitative and quantitative reviews, interviews, group discussions, consultation meetings and clinical trials. This project is extended to selected mental health facilities in Rawalpindi and Karachi.
· Working closely with the program manager and principal investigator to recruit and enroll, maintain communication with, and address issues in an empathetic way, for the participants in the trial while ensuring adherence to ethical guidelines and study protocols.
· Developing, adapting, translating, and reviewing resource materials for both qualitative and quantitative research including participants' information sheets, promotional materials, consent forms, topic guides for interviews/ focus groups, agenda points for stakeholder and community consultations, case report forms and other relevant materials.
· Systematically, capturing, storing, and managing all data gathered in the project, also contributing to data collection and analysis.
· Developing, adapting, translating, and reviewing resource materials for both qualitative and quantitative research including participants' information sheets, promotional materials, consent forms, topic guides for interviews/ focus groups, agenda points for stakeholder and community consultations, case report forms and other relevant materials
· Working closely with the program manager and research team in contributing to the systematic reviews; use of appropriate research techniques and methods; write-up of research results and dissemination through publications; conducting co-design workshops; seminar and conference presentations and public engagement and outreach activities.
· Monitoring progress, planning, and reporting activities to line supervisors, placed at the Institute of Psychiatry, Rawalpindi, and University of York, United Kingdom
· Maintaining the office decorum and following the ethical code of conduct.
