Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced **Sole Accounts Person** to manage all financial and accounting aspects of our business. This role is critical to our operations, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded, bills are cleared, and financial reports are prepared in a timely manner.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Financial Record-Keeping:**
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring that all entries are up-to-date and accurate.
- Record daily sales, expenses, and other financial activities.
2. **Invoicing and Payments:**
- Prepare and issue invoices to clients.
- Ensure prompt collection of receivables.
- Process payments to suppliers and manage accounts payable.
3. **Bank Reconciliation:**
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all accounts are balanced.
- Monitor cash flow and manage petty cash.
4. **Payroll Management:**
- Calculate and process employee salaries and commissions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and deductions.
5. **Financial Reporting:**
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Generate reports for the CEO, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Provide financial insights and advice to support business decisions.
6. **Tax Compliance:**
- Manage and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with all local tax laws.
- Prepare and submit required financial documents to tax authorities.
7. **Budgeting and Forecasting:**
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
8. **Audit Preparation:**
- Prepare and manage documents for internal and external audits.
- Work with auditors to ensure all financial records are accurate and compliant.
9. **Ad Hoc Financial Tasks:**
- Handle any other financial tasks as required by the CEO or management.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounting, preferably in a small to medium-sized company.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
