Functional Consultant

Description:

An ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Functional Consultant is responsible for the implementation, management, and optimization of ERP systems for organizations. The role involves understanding business processes, configuring ERP solutions tow h business needs, training users, and ensuring the system is properly integrated and maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with stakeholders to understand their business processes and requirements.

Conduct gap analysis to identify areas where the current system does not meet business needs.

Assist in the selection of the appropriate ERP software.

Lead or support the deployment and configuration of the ERP system.

Customize and configure the ERP system to align with the specific business processes.

Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for ERP implementation projects.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

Monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders.

Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users.

Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for ERP system users.

Develop and document system procedures and guidelines.

Ensure the ERP system integrates seamlessly with other business systems and applications.

Coordinate with IT teams to manage data migration and system interfaces.

Continuously analyze and improve ERP system performance.

Plan and implement system upgrades and patches as necessary.

Stay updated with the latest ERP trends and technologies to provide recommendations for system enhancements.

Ensure the ERP system complies with industry standards and regulations.

Implement and monitor security measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, ACCA or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in ERP implementation, support, or consulting.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in ERP software and related technologies.

Strong understanding of database management and SQL.

Knowledge of system integration and data migration techniques.

Understanding of business processes in various industries (e.g., manufacturing, retail, finance).

Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Experience in managing ERP implementation projects.

Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
