Full Stack Developer

Company Overview: EpochClan is a dynamic and innovative tech company. We are currently expanding our team and seeking a talented Fullstack Developer with expertise in React and Ruby on Rails. The ideal candidate will not only meet the core requirements but will also bring additional skills in Redux, RSpec, Sidekiq, ActiveAdmin or Administrate, Devise, as well as an understanding of JWT, Redis, and Elasticsearch.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain efficient, reusable, and scalable code using React and Ruby on Rails.
• Collaborate with the product and design teams to understand user requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Work on the entire development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for performance and security.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, and propose new ideas for continuous improvement.

Additional Preferred Skills:

• Redux:

• Demonstrated experience with Redux for managing the state of complex web applications.

• RSpec:

• Proficiency in writing unit tests using RSpec to ensure the reliability and maintainability of code.

• Sidekiq:

• Hands-on experience with Sidekiq for background job processing and task scheduling.

• ActiveAdmin or Administrate:

• Familiarity with ActiveAdmin or Administrate for building efficient and customizable admin interfaces.

• Devise:

• Strong understanding and practical experience with Devise for user authentication and authorization.

• Understanding of JWT:

• Knowledge of JSON Web Tokens (JWT) and their implementation for secure communication and user authentication.

• Redis:

• Working knowledge of Redis for caching, queuing, and data storage optimization.

• Elasticsearch:

• Understanding of Elasticsearch and its integration into web applications for efficient search functionality.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 1.5 years of professional experience as a Fullstack Developer.
• Strong proficiency in React and Ruby on Rails.
• Bonus: Experience with Next.js and a willingness to learn and adopt new technologies.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
