Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist to join our Karachi team, supporting our operations in the US. This individual will play a crucial role in managing our financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting our financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping & Accounting: Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable. Reconcile bank statements and monitor financial transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Payroll Management: Process payroll for employees, ensuring timely and accurate payment. Manage employee benefits and deductions, and address payroll-related inquiries.
- Salary Disbursement: Oversee and execute the disbursement of salaries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Petty Cash Maintenance: Manage and track petty cash, including disbursements, reconciliations, and documentation of expenses. Ensure petty cash is used appropriately and in accordance with company policies.
- Tax Documentation: Liaise with our tax accountant to provide necessary financial documents and information for tax preparation. Ensure all tax filings and payments are completed accurately and on time.
- Insurance Liaison: Communicate with insurance companies to manage policies, handle claims, and update coverage as needed.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports. Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
- Budgeting: Develop and manage budgets, including forecasting and tracking expenses. Assist in the preparation of financial plans and projections.
- Disputes & Reconciliation: Efficiently reconcile revenue and expenses by systematically reviewing financial records and identifying discrepancies. Proactively engage with clients and vendors to resolve payment issues and ensure accurate transactions. Escalate unresolved disputes to appropriate stakeholders to facilitate timely and correct adjustments.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a FPA Analyst, Accountant, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and accounting software.
- Experience with payroll processing, salary disbursement, and petty cash management.
- Experience with tax documentation and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with external partners and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (Qualified or part qualified ACCA/CA/ICMA).
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
