Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Expert Financial Analyst to join our team on a remote, full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have advanced Excel skills, experience with financial analysis tools such as Data Rails, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and a deep understanding of financial reporting, data management, and forecasting. A must-have requirement is experience and a strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis: Provide in-depth analysis of financial data, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to help guide strategic decision-making.
- Reporting: Prepare, review, and present accurate and timely financial reports for management, ensuring all data is well-organized and actionable.
- Excel Expertise: Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas) to manipulate large datasets, create models, and support financial reporting.
- Data Management: Use Data Rails to consolidate financial data, automate reporting, and enhance data accuracy. Maintain data integrity across multiple financial platforms.
- QuickBooks Online (QBO): Manage financial transactions, reconciliations, and monthly close processes within QuickBooks Online, ensuring accurate records and compliance with company standards.
- Forecasting & Budgeting: Assist with the development of financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial strategies based on business performance and trends.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to streamline financial processes, reporting workflows, and data management practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including accounting, operations, and executive management, to ensure financial insights align with overall business goals.
- Problem-Solving: Analyze financial discrepancies, identify root causes, and provide actionable recommendations to resolve issues.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, Senior Analyst, or similar role, with a solid understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros.
- Experience with Data Rails for financial data management and reporting.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO) for financial management and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and business metrics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze complex financial data and generate actionable insights.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working a night shift (8pm - 4am PST) in a remote, flexible work environment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on financial matters, addressing inquiries and providing financial guidance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ACCA/CA/CMA/ICMA or related field.
- Certification such as CFA, CPA, or similar.
- Experience working in a remote environment with familiarity of collaboration tools like Slack, Zoom, and others.
Experience
To excel in this role, you should possess the following experience and skills:
- 4 - 5 Years of working experience in a reputable firm working with US clients is a must.
- Proficiency in Excel: Demonstrated ability to work with Excel spreadsheets effectively.
- Accounting Software Expertise: Proven experience with QuickBooks online and Xero accounting software.
- US GAAP Experience: A must-have requirement is experience and a strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
