*JOB DESCRIPTION:*

  • Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
  • Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take Maintain the financial health of the organization.
  • Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
  • Manage and preparation of the company’s budget Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
  • Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
  • Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
  • Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
  • Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
  • Ensure maintenance of payroll account and transferring of Salary in Employee’s Account.
  • Recording of all deductions from salaries in the correct account.
  • Maintenance of Cash Book and ensure sufficient funds to settle Short Term Liabilities / Payment.
  • Liaison with the Bank to resolve and Banking Issues (Such as Payments and receipt of foreign remittances).
  • Liaison with the POC of all clients (especially all telecoms) to keep strong relations and push/expedite any process, if required.
  • Prepare Financial Statement on a Quarterly, Bi-Annually & Annual Basis.
  • Supervising the team.
  • Other duties as may arise from time to time and as may be assigned to the employee

*SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:*

  • Strong knowledge of core accounting/finance concepts and accounting standards or principles
  • High proficiency in financial modeling & good IT literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, ERP Systems - SAP)
  • Ability to think strategically, with strong influencing and leadership skills
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills and good commercial acumen
  • High sense of urgency, work ethic and must be flexible to work in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision; must be a self-starter
  • Must demonstrate financial responsibility and reliability.
