Description:
The Executive Director, Commercial will be responsible for leading and driving the commercial sales strategy across the organization. This role will oversee the development and implementation of sales strategies to achieve revenue growth, enhance customer engagement, and expand market share. The Executive Director will work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to align sales objectives with the company’s business goals.
Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy Development and Execution:
• Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives.
• Identify new market opportunities and lead the expansion of sales initiatives into new regions and sectors.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to refine sales strategies.
2. Leadership and Team Management:
• Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, ensuring that they have the tools, training, and support needed to achieve their targets.
• Foster a high-performance culture within the sales team, emphasising accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Set clear goals and expectations for the sales team, regularly monitoring performance and providing constructive feedback.
3. Revenue Growth and Profitability:
• Drive revenue growth by maximising sales opportunities and improving sales processes.
• Ensure that sales activities are aligned with profitability targets, focusing on both short-term gains and long-term sustainable growth.
• Develop pricing strategies and negotiate contracts that contribute to overall profitability.
4. Customer Relationship Management:
• Cultivate strong relationships with key customers and partners, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Oversee the development and execution of customer engagement initiatives, including retention strategies and loyalty programs.
• Address customer concerns and issues promptly, ensuring that the company maintains a positive reputation in the market.
5. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination:
• Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment on business objectives and strategies.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales campaigns and promotional activities.
6. Reporting and Analytics:
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track sales performance, providing regular reports to the CEO and senior management.
• Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjust sales strategies as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA) is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 18 years of experience in sales, with at least 6 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in Real Estate is highly desirable.
