We are seeking a skilled and experienced Entomologist to join our Fumigation Department in Karachi. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals passionate about safeguarding agricultural commodities and ensuring adherence to plant protection regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection & Analysis: Conduct detailed inspections of agricultural commodities to detect pests and diseases.
- Port Operations: Oversee port operations related to fumigation and ensure smooth execution.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Obtain plant protection licenses from the Department of Plant Protection (DPP).
- Collaborate with clients and regulatory bodies to ensure all operations are compliant.
- Certification Preparation: Prepare required certifications, including:
- Importing country certifications.
- Customs/insurance declarations.
- Certificates of origin.
- Fumigation Management:
- Perform fumigation using methyl bromide and phosphine tablets.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety and procedural standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: MSc in Entomology or a related field.
- Licenses: Must hold a valid DPP (Department of Plant Protection) license.
- Experience:
- Hands-on experience with fumigation procedures, specifically methyl bromide and phosphine tablets.
- Familiarity with port operations, customs procedures, and certification protocols.
- Key Attributes: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and expertise in pest control measures.
