Description:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow with a team that is fast-paced and dedicated. We are looking for candidates with a strong CS background, who are natural team players to act as a key part of the QA team in testing our ELD (Electronic Logging Device, an in-vehicle data acquisition system) and non-ELD integrated software features. This is a cross-functional role that partners with our Product, Design, and Customer Success teams as well as our software engineering and embedded systems development teams.
What You’ll Do
- Designs, implements & maintains functional testing and delivers quality features
- Track and report upon testing activities, including testing results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered and their status, etc.
- Work with systems engineers (requirements definition) and firmware engineers (requirements implementation) to thoroughly test embedded software
- Aid in retrospecting possible customer issues with the leads
- Identify, analyze, and document defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in web and mobile applications as well as ELD functions, outputs, online screens, and content.
- Building Tools for automated software test procedures and developing scripts for continual testing
What We’re Looking For
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent degree
- 3+ years experience software Automation Testing.
- Mobile/Web application testing
- Proficient in Core Programming Concepts, OOP, data structures, and algorithms.
- Hand-on experience in working with REST APIs
- Work with systems engineers (requirements definition) and firmware engineers (requirements implementation) to thoroughly test embedded software
- Proficiency in C or Python
- Proficiency with common scripting languages and tools
- Experience with at least one unit test framework
- Working knowledge of git
- Experience with Jira and issue tracking systems
- Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills
