Elastic Administrator

Description:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Administer and support Elasticsearch clusters, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats.

2. Perform cluster health monitoring, tuning, and performance optimization.

3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Elastic Stack.

4. Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.

5. Work closely with DevOps, security, and application teams to implement best practices for Elastic Stack integration.

6. Provide system-level troubleshooting and support for the Elastic environment.

7. Ensure security best practices for Elastic Stack, including user access control and encryption.

8. Automate and script tasks to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention.

Qualifications:

1. Strong experience with managing and administering Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats.

2. Knowledge of Elasticsearch internals and best practices for cluster management.

3. Familiarity with configuring and tuning Elasticsearch performance for scalability and reliability.

4. Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.

5. Proficiency with monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

6. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

7. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with other search technologies such as Solr or Splunk.

Experience with Elastic Stack security features (X-Pack).

Knowledge of data ingestion pipelines and ETL processes.
