This role will work to proactively support regional business growth & the global thought leadership strategy for current exam products, and other products where relevant, at a country and regional level to promote School Exams products and services for the organisation and its key stakeholders within academic contexts.

The role will help raise educational standards through consultations with school leaders and middle managers, getting their buy-in to incorporate British Council tools, services and support.

The role will lead on ensuring on-going professional development and performance management are incorporated into all aspects of the school and adapting a culture of teaching excellence for students to achieve the grades they deserve..

Main Accountabilities

Empower educational leaders.
 

  • Tailor professional pathways for school leaders.
  • Ensures relevance and benefits of British Council tools and services
  • Facilitates value-add activities to secure leader buy-in
  • Establish high-quality development pathways
  • Guide schools towards self-implementation of development strategies
  • Deliver training to schools and leaders on how to implement training programmes from the British Council, such as using the Online Support for Schools effectively and setting up peer observations.
  • Brand/product knowledge & promotion
  • Builds effective working relationships with a variety of country and regional colleagues, and uses a range of information-gathering techniques, to maintain a full and current understanding of product developments and priorities.
  • Represent the British Council and the GES value-add offers in online & face to face events.
  • Support on raising the profiles the GES value added team internally and externally.

  • Increase recognition of UK qualifications, develop exam delivery partnerships and enhance client support
  • Analyses clients’ needs and tailors value propositions with expert support where needed.
  • Input into Global Innovation and Business Development strategies working with Cluster Commercial Manager
  • Work with non-UK international schools and increase up-take and recognition of UK international qualifications in these schools.
  • Commercial planning
  • Contributes to the development and delivery of customised, local business development initiatives (within a specific area of product/market/customer focus), which achieve or exceed agreed targets (e.g. on margin, income, reach and impact) and are aligned to relevant exams global and regional priorities.
  • Analyses and assimilates multiple commercial data sets and indicators (e.g. profitability, market dynamics, competitive potential, volumes, sales effectiveness etc) to produce tailored reports on performance and trends.
  • Leadership & management
  • Plans and prioritises own work activities to ensure effective delivery of diverse responsibilities and internal customer deliverables over a monthly to quarterly time horizon
  • Contributes to the development, delivery or commissioning of externally supplied training support to maintain and improve business development effectiveness of colleagues on a range of commercially-related topics
  • Shares intelligence and ideas to support senior managers in identifying/ developing new business development strategies and plans.
  • Analysis & reporting
  • Provides updates on B2B/Sales forecast, actively manages pipeline and drives demand in year and for the following year.
  • Contributes data as required, to enable the development and distribution of high quality, customer and market-focused marketing collateral
  • Safeguarding and EDI
  • Create an enabling environment to promote safeguarding through compliance with the safeguarding implementation standards in planning, implementation and monitoring of activities/projects and to escalate safeguarding issues to the National Safeguarding Manager, Pakistan.
  • Embed Safeguarding culture in teaching and learning through contributing to country safeguarding risk assessment and plan and implementing assigned actions.
  • Embed EDI through delivery of regional EDI objectives and workplans.
