Description:
CMC is hiring a dynamic and results-driven Drilling Manager to oversee and manage the drilling operations for our offshore and onshore projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in drilling operations, project management, and a solid understanding of safety, regulatory compliance, and cost optimization in the oil and gas industry. This role will provide leadership and strategic direction to our drilling teams, ensuring the successful and safe execution of drilling programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of drilling operations, including planning, execution, and post-operation reviews.
- Oversee drilling teams to ensure high standards of safety, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and manage drilling budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with local, international, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Liaise with key stakeholders, including engineering, reservoir, and production teams, to ensure alignment of objectives.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the drilling team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Stay current with new technologies and industry best practices to drive operational efficiency and safety.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within drilling operations.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale drilling projects and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of drilling technologies, operational challenges, and best practices.
- In-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel and work in remote locations as required.
