QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Retired from Armed Forces as Brigadier or Civilian with minimum 10 years’ experience at senior management.

• Master’s /MBBS / Pharm – D or degree in Health Care Management / Supply Chain Management

• 10+ years’ experience in Health Care procurement.

• Proven leadership experience in pharmaceutical procurement and supply chain management, preferably within retail pharmacy, hospitals, or healthcare companies

• Strong negotiation and contract management skills with good knowledge of supplier management, database management, Inventory management and ERP & other office programs.

• Expertise in warehouse management, inventory control, and logistics

• Understanding of drug regulations, licensing requirements, and compliance standards

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the end-to-end Procurement, Warehouse & Supply Chain function, ensuring smooth movement of goods across the pharmacy network and other business units

• Supervise and oversee procurement of Pharmacies (Including LP & Retail), Warehouse and bulk supply orders.

• Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring proper storage, handling, and distribution of pharmaceutical products and other supplies

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for MedAsk including pharmaceutical supplies as well as other business needs

• Oversee supplier selection, contract negotiation, and vendor relationship management, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality assurance

• Ensure procurements compliance with drug regulations and other applicable healthcare industry standards

• Analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and risk factors to make informed purchasing decisions

• Optimize inventory management to prevent shortages or overstocking, ensuring availability of critical medicines and medical supplies

• Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of efficiency and accountability

• Negotiate terms for purchasing items and ensure timely return of expired medicines.

• Introduce and manage bulk supply orders through tendering process.

• Responsible for all Procurement Management activities from demand forecasting to the delivery of material and services complying with all applicable policies, procedures, laws and rules.

• Develop key performance indicators and monitor performance targets.

• Support development, organization and implementation of Standard Operational Procurement Policies and Procedures and ensure compliance in accordance with the affiliated hospital, Government regulations and with accepted market standards of good procurement practices.

• Recommend and utilize electronic / automated systems and supply chain analytics for better forecasting and demand planning

• Establish quality specifications for all medicines purchased for MedAsk Pharmacies.

• Support plan for both short and long term goals of the department in concert with the whole organizational plan of MedAsk.

• Any other task assigned by senior Management.
