360factors is seeking an experienced and results-driven professional to fill the role of Director of Accounts & Finance. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of the organization, overseeing accounting operations, and driving strategic financial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

The Director of Accounts & Finance will be a key member of the executive team, reporting directly to the CEO. You will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of financial management, reporting, and strategic planning for the organization. You will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy of the company and ensuring its financial health and stability. You will also assist the CEO in identifying and securing additional funding, when needed, from external investors to drive continued company growth, including owning the due diligence process and financial discussions with potential investors. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading financial due diligence in mergers and acquisitions.

Financial Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives.
  • Drive long-term financial planning and forecasting to support growth and profitability.
  • Identify and evaluate strategic financial opportunities and risks.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Provide regular financial analysis and insights to the CEO and Board.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Determine and manage financial performance metrics for the company, including typical industry-metrics and norms related to SaaS companies selling enterprise B2B software.
  • Implement, manage, and monitor the executive dashboard for the company and departmental metrics, using Tableau as the business intelligence and analytics engine.

Budgeting and Control:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor performance against budget.
  • Implement robust financial controls and cost management procedures.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.

Cash Management:

  • Manage cash flow to support daily operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor working capital and optimize liquidity management.
  • Oversee banking relationships and debt financing activities.

Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Due Diligence:

  • Lead financial due diligence efforts for potential acquisitions and mergers.
  • Assess financial risks and opportunities associated with M&A transactions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the financial impact and feasibility of M&A deals.

Manage External Investments

  • Assist the CEO in identifying and evaluating potential investors, including venture capital firms, private equity firms and strategic partners.
  • Manage the due diligence process with investors, including building the data room and collecting the documents requested from investors.
  • Participate and/or lead financial discussions and/or negotiations with potential investors.
  • Assist in completing term sheets and contract agreements, including liaising with legal counsel.
  • Provide periodic updates to investors as needed, including compiling financial updates.

Strategic Partnerships:

  • Collaborate with external financial advisors, banks, and other stakeholders to optimize financial resources and strategies.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, the candidate must meet the following requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, CPA, MBA (Finance).
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant finance experience.
  • Strong financial acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.

Desired experience and skills (Plus)

  • Experience in acquiring external funding from venture capital or private equity firms.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, especially, acquiring companies that help with growth through either customer, revenue and/or technology additions.
  • Experience working with US-based companies and investors.
  • Experience with US financial reporting (GAAP) and US federal and state tax codes.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient reasoning ability to follow instructions, solve practical problems, and adapt to various situations.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capability to interpret technical procedures and present information effectively.
  • Proficiency in using NetSuite, Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and QuickBooks.
  • Strong experience with complex Excel spreadsheets and formulas.
