Description:
To manage finance functions within TAWAL in Pakistan, including budgeting, bookkeeping, reporting, tax filings, financing, financial audits, and controls.
Main Accountabilities:
- Formulate, execute, and monitor TAWAL- Pakistan finance strategy, objectives, policies & procedures to ensure that excellent service is delivered in the most efficient and effective manner
- Manage financial planning (e.g. revenues, prices, costs, investments, etc.) and oversee the readiness and ability to cater to its emerging financial requirements; manage, control, monitor, and report inputs from all functions and consolidate yearly budget and quarterly forecasts
- Track and manage the utilization of the budget and provide recommendations to cater to any emerging requirements and to tackle any budget deviation or variances; support management decisions by analyzing their financial impact
- Perform tax calculation and ensure compliance with legislation and good practice of bookkeeping and documentation
- Oversee TAWAL- Pakistan assets and resources to ensure that they are protected, well utilized, and well managed; keep an accurate and up-to-date record of the assets
- Perform transactional accounting (account receivables, account payables, tangible and intangible assets, etc…) and ensure that TAWAL’s practices are aligned with best practices and Pakistan regulations.
- Manage financial planning and performance activities and design and oversee the implementation of relevant controls and checks and balances
- Oversee revenue assurance activities in TAWAL- Pakistan to ensure efficient delivery that does not affect revenue negatively
Managerial Accountabilities:
- Participate in the development of TAWAL's strategy and operational objectives and oversee the cascading of the overall strategy to the relevant functional area.
- Engage in financial budgeting and projection; and monitor actual performance throughout the financial cycle.
- Oversee the performance of line management to ensure TAWAL's strategy and objectives are applied and met.
- Keep abreast of discipline best practices and drive implementing them in TAWAL Pakistan.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Qualified CA.
- 12 years of relevant experience
- 4 years in a similar managerial role
