Description:
As a DevOps Engineer at Hybrid Mediaworks, you will take charge of our software delivery pipelines, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems. You will be a crucial part of our cross-functional team, working closely with developers, system administrators, and IT professionals to streamline and automate our processes, improve deployment efficiency, and enhance our overall infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with software development teams to grasp project requirements and design efficient DevOps solutions tailored to our applications.
- Implement, manage, and continually refine CI/CD pipelines that automate application deployment, testing, and monitoring.
- Oversee and maintain cloud infrastructure, server configurations, and network systems to guarantee high availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot issues, provide technical support, and conduct root cause analysis for incidents, ensuring swift resolution and minimizing downtime.
- Lead efforts to ensure the security and compliance of our infrastructure and applications by implementing best practices and robust security measures.
- Continuously optimize and improve processes to enhance system performance, resilience, and cost-efficiency.
- Stay on the cutting edge of DevOps by keeping up with industry best practices and emerging technologies, and recommend their adoption when applicable.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a closely related role, demonstrating proficiency in DevOps practices.
- In-depth knowledge of DevOps tools and methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, containerization, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Strong programming and scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including cloud architecture, resource management, and services.
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform and configuration management tools like Ansible.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective teamwork and cooperation across cross-functional teams.
