Key Responsibilities:

-Provide leadership and technical direction to the backend development team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable backend services.

-Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering, system design, and implementation, through to testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

-Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, frontend development, and operations to define technical requirements and align them with business objectives.

-Ensure the backend architecture is designed to support scalability, performance, and security, while adhering to industry best practices.

-Lead efforts to optimize existing backend systems, addressing performance bottlenecks and improving system reliability.

-Implement and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and coding guidelines to maintain a high level of code quality.

-Monitor project progress, manage timelines, and allocate resources to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

-Proactively identify potential risks, technical challenges, and opportunities for improvement, ensuring effective mitigation strategies are in place.

-Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth among team members.

-Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in backend development, and assess their applicability to ongoing and future projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

-Extensive experience (7+ years) in backend development using Java technologies, with a strong understanding of object-oriented design, software architecture, and microservices.

-Proven leadership experience, in a managerial or technical lead capacity overseeing backend development teams.

-Expertise in Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate, and experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.

-Strong experience with databases (both relational and NoSQL), version control systems, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).

-Demonstrated experience in delivering complex, large-scale backend solutions that meet business and technical requirements.

-Deep understanding of performance tuning, backend security practices, and scalability in enterprise-grade applications.

-Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively across departments.

-Experience managing projects in an Agile environment, with a track record of delivering results in fast-paced, dynamic settings.
