Financials:
- Achieve P&L targets through stringent expense control and revenue growth by enhancing productivity, minimizing maintenance downtime, negotiating rate increases in line with Commercials, and exploring new business opportunities.
- Ensure that costs are controlled and confined within budgetary targets for SG&A.
- Implement cost reduction and optimization initiatives in all aspects of Road operations/activities.
- Ensure prompt and accurate billing and manage the receivables to agreed credit terms.
- Ensure efficient deployment of all direct resources and manage all the direct costs of Road, manpower and handling within budgeted costs.
Sales Strategy Development, Aging and Recovery Management:
- Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to competition and continue winning new contracts and securing market share.
- Stakeholder management to connect with C-level employees in customer’s organization to market unique selling solutions at decision-making level.
- Continually reinforces value proposition with the customer.
- Negotiating contracts, terms, and agreements with key clients to ensure mutual satisfaction and compliance with company policies.
- Managing contract renewals and extensions while ensuring profitability and sustainable business relationships.
- Monitoring and managing accounts receivable aging to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Developing and implementing recovery strategies for overdue accounts, including negotiation, payment plans, and legal actions if necessary.
Strategy Formulation, Alignment & Execution:
- Collaborate with Country MD and Manager, Road Operations (Country Lead) in setting and driving department vision, operational strategy and hiring needs.
- Strive for continuous improvement in Road Operations through techniques including automation and use of technology leading to improvement in Road Operations according to company’s policies.
- Ensure alignment of Road Operations in line with business plan objectives.
- Conducting regular business reviews and analysis to evaluate the performance of key accounts against predefined metrics and objectives.
- Overseeing MIS to measure progress of annual and long-term plans.
People:
- Facilitate effective communication between senior management and the road operations team to ensure clear understanding of goals, priorities, and expectations.
- Promote constant motivation among staff to strive for efficient and effective Road operations.
- Provides coaching and feedback to team members, identifies performance opportunities, and creates specific action plans to improve efficiencies.
- Develop high-performing teams and future leaders that consistently achieve their productivity goals.
- Establish succession plans to minimize business disruption due to personnel changes.
Operational:
- Work closely with the Manager, Road Operations (Country Lead) and other departmental heads to ensure seamless coordination and integration of road operations with other business functions.
- Ensuring compliance of HSE standards and customer HSE requirements in the entire Road Operations.
- Support execution of Road safety programs & training.
- Continual development and modernization of Road in consultation with Manager, Road Operations (Country Lead) Lead and Country MD.
- Reviewing customer reporting (such as operations reports), service KPI and monthly/quarterly/yearly performance review.
- Weekly departmental meetings to review any potential query or issue.
- Reviews Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Preventive action for accident reports and pending recurring issues.
