The Deputy Production Manager at Kamion Pharma is responsible for driving operational efficiency, maintaining quality excellence, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role emphasizes resource optimization, workflow enhancement, and collaborative efforts to meet production objectives effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in creating and managing production schedules to meet customer demands while ensuring all processes comply with DRAP regulations, GMP, and FDA standards.
2. Monitor daily production activities, ensuring alignment with company goals, quality standards, and follow safety protocols in controlled production area.
3. Making sure standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control measures are followed.
4. Ensure a clear understanding of sterile production area requirements, addressing issues related to contamination control, equipment sterilization, and machine maintenance.
5. Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to address any issues or deviations from the required quality standards.
6. Manage and train production staff to maintain productivity, safety, and ensure they follow established procedures.
7. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure cost-effective operations through lean manufacturing practices.
8. Oversee machine maintenance and ensure all necessary equipment is in working order to minimize production downtime.
9. Monitor raw material usage and coordinate with the Procurement Department to maintain optimal inventory levels.
10. Prepare regular production reports for senior management and document production processes to maintain accurate records.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, biomedical or related field. A masters degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in production management, preferably in a pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing environment.

Skills:

  • Familiarity with wound care dressings, pain relief patches and surgical bandages & tapes, sterilization processes (e.g., Electron Beam, Gamma Radiation).
  • Working and audit knowledge of GMP/ISO standards and DRAP regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving / decision-making abilities as well as strong leadership and communication skills.
