PAC- Pakistan’s leading accountancy institute is looking for the services of Deputy Manager Academics.


Prepare the weekly overall session plans of AFD/ACCA and CAF keeping in mind the budgeted hours set by management, previous hours used to deliver the course and comparing it with the available hours of the session. Public holidays, any other expected offs and college events/activities to be made part of the overall plan.
Based on the overall session plan a suitable plan of the session to be made ensuring adequate teaching hours are delivered and if there is any need for additional classes they are planned well in advance. The overall session plan includes key dates such as orientation dates, class start date, end dates, feedback dates & mock exam dates etc. which should be timely executed. The overall plan to be reviewed on a timely basis.
Coordinate with faculty to prepare the individual subject’s topic wise course coverage plan, showing the topics/chapters to be taught every week during the course along with the test dates.
Ensure that this plan is shared with the students and then monitored to see if any discrepancy in the pace of course coverage or number of tests occurs and discuss with senior management accordingly.
Monitoring class attendance, number of tests and test participation of all relevant courses and ensuring that a minimum desirable level be attained throughout the session by taking necessary steps such as follow ups with students, involving teachers, motivating students etc. Ensure senior management is informed in real time basis of any issues and see guidance/assistance for corrective measures.
Monitor the conduct of classes including any missed classes and any over budget extra classes. Coordinate with faculty on the reasons for them on a timely basis and take corrective actions where necessary including rising to manager & senior management on a timely basis and seeking guidance/assistance where necessary.
Coordinate with faculty or other internal/external resources to ensure that the quality of tests & mock exams are of the highest quality and in line with the latest syllabus and examination trends along with ensuring that these tests are conducted on a timely basis in a suitable exam like environment.
Aim to gather regular and formal feedback where necessary on the quality/conduct of classes, quality of tests, exams, quality of staff of different departments regularly interacting with students, faculty, the campus environment and facilities or any other related or similar activity and look to share this feedback with the relevant stakeholders.
Be physically available on a daily basis for all student related issues and aim to support them in their studies by helping solve any problems/ issues faced.
Maintain a close and friendly relation with faculty, ensuring we provide them with the best support and environment to carry out their academic activities & seeking out feedback (formal or informal) from them to ensure this relation is well maintained.
Arranging regular meetups of faculty of courses and deciding the agenda of such meetings with a view to increase the quality of education delivered and cohesion amongst the faculty members of the college.
Identify the areas where faculty training or improvements are required and work hand in hand with faculty to deliver such training or improvements. This may cover new faculty or existing faculty. Additionally, look to add and recruit talented faculty members to the college faculty pool on a regular basis during the year as per the needs of the college.
Working effectively with other departments including Admin (for student related issues), Admissions & Marketing (to ensure appropriate details are provided for effective admission campaigns).
Preparation of ACCA/AFD marketing timeline admissions
Achieving the targeted number of admissions of AFD/ACCA, admission number will be measured in terms of revenue, net collection, and receivable
Generation of LMS logins and Zoom ID’s and sharing with students
Preparing Academic reports, including weekly regular reports, progression reports, checklist reports, session planning & closing reports that cover all key issues impacting all courses and sharing with the manager on a regular & timely basis.
Use Learning Management Systems (LMS) & ERP in an effective way. Timely upload students related material (notes, class tests, topic-wise tests, mock etc.) and motivate students to use LMS.
Leading the subordinates to maintain a complete and organized record of all relevant data (including reports, tests, mock exams etc.).
Implement the checklists across the department and implement a system of gathering suggested improvements to the checklists and ensuring update of the checklists and its dissemination is done in a formalized and systematic way.


Requirements:

Education:

CA Inter/ Finalist, ACCA(Affiliate) or master's degree holder from a reputable institute.


Experience:

At least 4-5 years of related proven working experience at a mid-senior level position in a college or university.
