As a Data Scraping / Data Collection Web Research Specialist, you will play a critical role in our data team by gathering and analyzing web data to support our business objectives. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining data scraping tools, ensuring data accuracy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide valuable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain web scraping scripts and tools to extract relevant data from various online sources.

- Conduct web research to gather qualitative and quantitative data to support business projects.

- Clean, validate, and organize collected data to ensure accuracy and reliability.

- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.

- Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and other stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver high-quality data sets.

- Stay updated with the latest web scraping techniques, tools, and best practices.

- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in web scraping, data collection, and web research.

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.

- Familiarity with web scraping libraries and frameworks (e.g., BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Selenium).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
