Job Summary:
Our client is committed to ensuring that all of its customers’ data is protected and that its work complies with data protection laws and legislation. Therefore, the Data Protection Officer role will be responsible for ensuring data protection and compliance across the company, and informing the company’s employees about data compliance regulations.

Job Purpose:
The DPO must ensure that the Personal Data Protection Laws (PDPL) and guidelines in the UAE are respected in the day-to-day performance of the company’s business and commercial activities, and serve as the main point of contact within the organization, and between the company and the relevant data protection authorities.

Qualifications

1) Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information security or a related field.

2) Three or more years of experience in data protection compliance or a related field.

3) Experience in a legal, audit, or risk management role and Knowledge of UAE data protection laws is a plus.

4) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to details.

5)Excellent presentation and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and to manage sensitive and confidential information.
