Description:

We are seeking an experienced ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Developer and Data Visualization Specialist with a strong background in the Power Sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes to extract data from various sources, transform it into a usable format, and load it into databases or data warehouses. Additionally, the candidate will be proficient in creating insightful data visualizations and dashboards to enable data-driven decision-making within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

o  Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into databases or data warehouses.

o  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure data accuracy and consistency.

o  Troubleshoot and resolve ETL process issues, data anomalies, and performance bottlenecks.

o  Integrate data from various internal and external sources, including data providers, APIs, and databases, to ensure a comprehensive and up-to-date data repository.

o  Implement data quality checks and data validation routines to maintain data integrity.

o  Document ETL processes, data definitions, and data lineage.

o  Monitor and optimize ETL processes for efficiency, scalability, and performance.

o  Implement data caching and indexing strategies to enhance query performance.

o  Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights in power sector data.

o  Collaborate with domain experts to derive actionable recommendations from data analysis.

o  Develop interactive and informative data visualizations, reports, and dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

o  Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in the power sector.

Qualifications:

o  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus

o  Proven experience as an ETL Developer with a focus on data integration and transformation in the Power Sector

o  Proven experience minimum 3 years in Power BI, Tableau and/or Qlick Scene

o  Strong knowledge of Python programming language and algorithms (prior experience working with Beautiful Soup/ Selenium is a plus) - experience minimum 3 years

o  Strong understanding of the development and automation of data pipelines for structured and unstructured data (prior experience with SSIS or similar tools is a plus)

o  Good understanding of data modeling and database design principles. Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing databases is essential

o  Advanced Excel (Power Query experience) and experience with data analytics tools Power BI and/or Tableau are essential

o  Web Scraping 1 year experience

o  Comprehensive understanding of data visualization best practices

o  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

o  Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
