Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows using Azure Synapse.
- Design and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Develop and optimize stored procedures to support data processing and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Conduct thorough testing of data pipelines and processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Document data engineering processes, workflows, and technical specifications to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain system documentation.
- Identify and implement opportunities to optimize data processing and storage to enhance system performance and efficiency.
- Mentor junior members of the team, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of success in developing data solutions.
- Proficiency in Azure Synapse, with hands-on experience in building data pipelines and managing data workflows.
- Strong expertise in ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Experience in developing and optimizing stored procedures for data processing and analysis.
- Ability to understand the business context and the underlying purpose of tasks, with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of testing methodologies and practices, with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
