Description:
CE4kids — a nonprofit organization — is looking for a Curriculum Design Expert to develop state of the art curriculums for up to Intermediate Level, specifically for Computer Science and IT. The candidate’s responsibilities include working with students, teachers, and organizations to design detailed engaging curriculums and quality resources, liaising with subject experts, outlining objectives, and providing feasible timeframes which would help in implementing different educational programs. They should be passionate about preparing the students for emerging careers and be aware of how digital technology is reshaping education and careers.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting research and collaborating with educators, subject experts, policymakers, and professionals to develop futuristic curricula and learning resources, especially in Computer Science and IT.
- Establishing feasible timeframes to achieve the goals and objectives outlined in the curriculum and effectively communicating them with educators.
- Creating stimulating/interactive lesson plans and recommending interesting additional resources for student evaluation.
- Developing a range of digital resources to optimize classroom learning and ensure ongoing learning outside of formal settings.
- Creating supplementary teacher and student guides, as well as evaluation packs.
- Expanding networks of curriculum designers, educators, and other professionals.
- Collecting feedback from students, teachers, and the organization.
- Monitoring student progress and making relevant changes to curriculums.
- Collaborating with other writers, graphic and web designers to create new learning resources.
- Preparing tests, exams, and other formal and informal assessments to gauge the effectiveness of curriculums.
- Proactively self-engage in ongoing professional development with a focus on evolving trends in Indigenous education and technology.
Qualifications:
- Master’s/ MPhil degree is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience.
- Teaching experience at the college/university level is preferred.
- Additional courses in instructional design.
- Strong digital and research skills.
- Excellent collaboration, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Great networking and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong planning skills, vision, and creative intelligence.
- Knowledge of Aboriginal Social Work specifically in the area of child welfare and social service provisions.
