Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Lead to manage our Credentialing team. As a Team Lead for Credentialing at VABillingPro, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the credentialing department, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and maintaining effective processes to meet client needs. This is a remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the credentialing team to ensure optimal performance and adherence to deadlines.
- Manage and support the credentialing process for healthcare providers, including the completion of applications, verification, and follow-up with insurance carriers and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with all accreditation requirements, laws, and insurance regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve workflow efficiency.
- Assist with resolving credentialing issues and discrepancies, providing guidance to team members as needed.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to credentialing processes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding credentialing inquiries and concerns.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of all credentialing activities and updates.
- Provide regular feedback to management on team performance and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in credentialing, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of credentialing processes, insurance carrier requirements, and accreditation standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and other departments.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and credentialing software (experience with billing software is a plus).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.
