Content Writer

 

Description:

The Content Writer will be responsible for creating engaging written pieces of copy that can be used in digital and print media. You will work with the team and clients to produce articles on a variety of topics, which will be used to advertise their services or educate consumers about relevant information related to the brand's offerings. You will be responsible for researching topics, creating style guides for a company’s content, and writing content that helps drive conversions based on the organization’s goals. You must possess excellent research skills since you will need to understand various topics, what customers are searching for, and the needs of the organization. You need to have excellent writing skills since you will write different types of content to help organizations sell products and services.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Conducting in-depth research on industry-related topics in order to develop original content.
  • Developing content for blogs, articles, product descriptions, social media, and the company website.
  • Assisting the marketing team in developing content for advertising campaigns. Proofreading content for errors and inconsistencies.
  • Editing and polishing existing content to improve readability.
  • Conducting keyword research and using SEO best practices to increase traffic to the company website.
  • Creating compelling headlines and body copy that will capture the attention of the target audience.
  • Identifying customers’ needs and recommending new content to address gaps in the company's current content.

 

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Proven content writing or copywriting experience.
  • Working knowledge of content management systems.
  • Familiar with Project Management tools Trello and Slack.
  • A portfolio of published articles.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with all teams across the company while demonstrating Potens Marketing's company values at all times.
  • Commitment to completing work on-time that meets or exceeds expectations of quality.

 

EDUCATION

 

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, english, journalism, or related field - 4 year or equivalent.
