Description:
We are looking for a Construction Manager for one of our project based in Balochistan. The candidate must have extensive experience in construction management, site supervision, and project execution, particularly in water infrastructure and sediment management projects, to ensure effective project delivery, compliance with technical and contractual specifications, and timely completion of construction activities.
- Review and evaluate Contractor’s QHSE System and construction management plan for its adequacy in compliance with client, international standard and contract requirements.
- Ensuring that, construction methods are in line with PQP and are well understood by the workforce deployed by construction contractor.
- Supervising the Contractor’s performance for construction activities.
- Responsible for supervision and effective utilization of construction supervision team.
- Responsible for scheduling and progress reporting during execution phase of the project
- Responsible to oversee site inspection activities.
- Responsible for providing assistance to Project Director in answering all queries of client relating to quality, progress and HSE at work.
- Responsible for ensuring that NCR's are raised for every rejection/rework as occurred/pointed out by the QC inspectors /execution. He is to ensure that NCR's are cleared by target dates.
- Attend Coordination/progress/any other meetings as required by the project and client.
- Responsible for preparation and rectification Punch List items by construction contractor.
- Ensure checking of as-built drawings / documents as per red mark-ups submitted by contractor.
- Ensure implementation of pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up procedures/check lists by contractor.
- Check and review of Contractor change order and give recommendation as necessary.
- Providing input to QS for completed work
- Provide necessary input to Project Completion Report.
With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
- Tertiary qualifications or a related discipline (e.g. BE/B.Sc in Civil/Mechanical Engineering)
- Minimum 15-20 years of valid experience as Construction Manager for execution/construction of bore hole/well surface facilities and associated pipeline or similar projects.
- Strong understanding of sediment management and bore field construction processes.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Experience working with international donor-funded projects will be an advantage.
