Commercial Project Manager

Purpose:

The Commercial Project Manager (CPM) manages the day-to-day controlling activities of the project.

He ensures commercial aspects of projects are measured and reported accurately and in a timely manner.

He is jointly responsible for project execution along with Project Manager. This includes closely monitorin of project profitability and effective and efficient project cost utilization.

Responsibilities and Key Activities:

■ Ability to comprehend, analyse and interpret commercial aspects of projects.

■ Assist in Bid preparation and tender documents,

■ Assist in contract negotiation and execution.

■ Ensure the correctness and completeness of project related costs, accruals and pre to post calculations.

■ Prepare forecast for the project financials.

■ Analyse deviations in actuals from budget/forecast.

■ Provide technical expertise and advice on financial issues to project managers to help them understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities.

■ Correspondence with customers on commercial matters. Invoicing and receivable collections.

■ Working capital management.

Performance Measures:

■ Timely & accurate financial reporting and closing.

■ Accounts receivable collection.

■ Project's operating results.

■ Cash flow management.

Professional Requirements:

▪ Minimum 3-5 years' experience in commercial handling of projects.

▪ .BA/ BA/ACCA CMA (finalist).

▪ Microsoft Excel (Advance Level).

▪ Good Communication Skills.
