Cloud Engineer

Description:

Manage, configure and monitor cloud infrastructure and services. Engage with Sales teams and customers to implement customer required solutions on local cloud or Google Cloud Platform. Train internal technical and sales resources on deployed solutions and services. As a Cloud Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based systems, ensure scalability, security, and reliability, and drive innovation through the adoption of emerging cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions based on business requirements and best practices

• Deploy and maintain cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and other related components and services

• Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize performance, redundancy and reliability. Participate in capacity planning and scaling activities to ensure the scalability and availability of cloud resources

• Provide technical guidance and support to team members, and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scopes, and provide technical recommendations for cloud-related initiative

• Study and test different Google’s products and new cloud technologies to develop solutions for customer requirement

• Work closely with Sales teams to discuss ideas and solutions which can be developed and offered to customers.

• Deploy applications, monitor operations of multiple projects, and maintain enterprise solutions to ensure that they meet target performance metrics

• Train technical resources and sales teams on products through regular sessions

• Assist Head of Cloud in achieving the milestones and objectives

• Complete training and certification programs offered by the company for enhancing technical skills on different cloud products

Skills Required:

• In-depth understanding of cloud technologies and virtualization, compute, network, security and storage.

• Basic Knowledge of containerization (Kubernetes, Dockers)

• Good understanding of Linux administration, web servers and databases

• Google Cloud Certification – Professional Cloud Architect (Preferred)

Required Qualification & Certifications

• Bachelors in Computer Science/Engineering or Equivalent

• Google Cloud – Professional Cloud Architect
