Chief Technology Officer

Description:

As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Vaulsys, you will play a pivotal role in driving our technological vision, strategy, and execution. You will lead a team of talented engineers and developers to innovate, develop, and maintain our robust fin-tech platform. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our technology infrastructure and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

l Technology Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the technology team, driving innovation, and ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.

l Product Development: Lead the development and deployment of scalable, high-performance software solutions using Java as the core language. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define product roadmaps, prioritize features, and deliver timely releases.

l Architecture and Design: Define and implement best practices for software architecture, design patterns, and coding standards. Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our technology stack, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies.

l Team Management: Build and mentor a world-class engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities to empower team members to excel in their roles.

l Technology Stack Management: Oversee the management and optimization of our technology stack, including databases, APIs, microservices, and cloud infrastructure. Evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance our platform's performance, scalability, and security.

l Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical risks and challenges, proactively addressing issues that may impact product delivery or quality. Implement robust testing, monitoring, and disaster recovery processes to ensure the reliability and resilience of our systems.

l Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including data privacy, security, and financial regulations. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to implement policies and procedures that safeguard our clients' data and assets.

l Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate strategic partnerships and alliances with technology vendors, fin-tech startups, and industry stakeholders. Stay informed about market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain our competitive edge.

Qualifications:

l Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

l Proven experience of 10 to 15 years in a senior leadership role within a fin-tech or technology-driven organization.

l Extensive experience with Java development, including hands-on expertise in building scalable, high-performance software solutions.

l Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices for building reliable, secure, and maintainable systems.

l Demonstrated track record of successfully leading and mentoring engineering teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.

l Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and inspire team members to achieve ambitious goals.

l Deep understanding of cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and infrastructure-as-code principles.

l Experience with financial services, payments technologies is a plus.

l Proven ability to navigate regulatory environments and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
